10 Facts about 2b2t in October 2024
As tens of thousands of players actively play on 2b2t, the landscape constantly changes. Many players have to wait in the 2b2t queue, however with the 2b2t map growing all the time, some interesting statistics can be found. As we all know, hacking is very common on Minecraft anarchy servers, which allows for players to quickly progress on the server.
#1 Server Size
Since the start of 2b2t in 2010, the map was never reset, resulting in hundreds of millions of unique chunks generated, thousands of bases created and griefed and many players simply exploring the spawn, looking for some history and glitches.
The map of 2b2t is 49TB as of October 2024. A typical computer comes with a 512GB SSD, so you would need 100 of those to fit 2b2t. Minecraft servers use RAM, CPU and the storage drive to run, but to allow for fast loading speeds, with 250 to 300 players online all the time, 2b2t must use fast SSDs or NVMe drives. Those are much more expensive than HDD drives, but also much faster.
#2 The most popular spawn location
Obviously, the most location of 2b2t has to be the water cube. For so many years now, new players are drowning in it due to the 2b2t groups making it many years ago. The whole process and the final result, was documented by the largest YouTuber, FitMC, who made a video about it. Of course, the 2b2t players, have also made a similar cube in the end dimension, however the overworld cube is the main one on 2b2t.
#3 2b2t's YouTubers
The popular YouTubers of 2b2t SalC1 and FitMC have been less active during the year of 2024. Few months ago, 2b2t was updated to 1.19 by the admin Hausemaster, however the server doesn't seem more active. It is true, that new bases are being built and new exploits found, however the excitement from 2b2t seems to have weakened.
#4 Lag machines
Fortunately for 2b2t, since the 1.19 and 1.20 Minecraft version update, there is way less lag issues. The render distance is acceptable and players with priority queue can quickly join the server and play. Those without the 2b2t priority queue, have to wait between 6 and 12 hours.
Minecraft servers use something called TPS, which stands for Ticks Per Second. It's like a heartbeat of a Minecraft server, when it's 20, the server runs amazingly well, when it drops, issues start to arise. Most of the time 2b2t is at 18-19 TPS. It is great to hear the performance of Minecraft servers improve after the 1.13 catastrophe where Minecraft servers were almost impossible to run, which is the reason why 2b2t stayed on 1.12 for many years.
#5 No More Dupes
The 2b2t community has to accept the fact that dupes are no more. Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, patched most of the dupes permanently in the version 1.16 and ever since, it's almost impossible to find a dupe. It is possible, that a private powerful group, like the Spawnmasons or the Imperials, have access to a dupe, but we can be sure that once a dupe is made public, the admin Hausemaster will patch it.
#6 Unique Players
How many players exactly have joined since the start? According to the 2b2t website, over 900,000 unique players have joined 2b2t since the start. Many players might have thought it would have been more, but 2b2t is hard to join, with the long 8-16 hour queue and many griefers.
Some players choose to play on other Minecraft anarchy servers to have no queue, but they don't have the same old map as 2b2t.
#7 Server Age
As FitMC like to say, 2b2t is the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft. 2b2t was launched by georgebush420, the friend of Hausemaster, but the Hausemaster took over 2b2t only few months later. There is little to no history about the first days of 2b2t.
We know that Hausemaster used to own a server called 2b2t.net in Garry's Mod in 2008 and later took the name to Minecraft in December 2010, once multiplayer was launched. At the moment 2b2t uses the domain 2b2t.org however. The IP to connect is 2b2t.org and you can join on Java edition of Minecraft.

The Valley of Wheat, is the favorite base YouTubers like to cover on 2b2t. It is being griefed and rebuilt all the time. It has an old birth date and it was built by some of the first 2b2t players
#9 The rarest item in Minecraft
While on most Minecraft worlds, armor trims are brand new and quite easy to get, on 2b2t there is only one Eye trim, due to the map being over 13 years old and all the end portals being already generated. The YouTuber FitMC documented the process of finding this one and only armor trim, and a brand new powerful 2b2t group was created to protect this one and only armor trim.
#10 The future of 2b2t
The future of 2b2t is uncertain. Regardless of the promising updates to latest Minecraft versions, the hype seems gone. We might see a great comeback, but it's not fully in the control of Hausemaster. Most of the players join from YouTube in 2024, however 2b2t might have reached it's peak.
